Transition Town Hannover (short: TTH) was founded in 2010 by a couple of people. Within one year the initiative grew up to approximate fifty activists and several sympathizers. In April 2011 it initiated Hannover's first community garden "Küchengärten Limmer" (kitchen gardens Limmer) on an industrial wasteland.

Towards a Resilient Taunton Deane

First we had the workshops on climate change and peak oil to all staff in Taunton Deane Borough Council, run by Taunton Transition Town volunteers Chrissie Godfrey and Paul Birch.... read all about the workshops here - TDBC Climate Change Workshops.

Transition and The Big Society - workshop review

This is copied nearly exactly from Rob's Transition Culture Blog.

You can also see the presentations, flip charts and other outputs on the Big Society workshop materials news item

Over 40 people came together in Bristol on Wednesday to explore what the government’s Big Society agenda might mean for Transition initiatives.

The venue was the Unitarian Church Hall, and the day proved to be very focused and yielded much insightful thinking and useful ideas.

What follows is my attempt to produce a clear record of the event, the ideas and the debates, as well as the suggestions for where this might go next, dragged from my illegible notes, so any mistakes or misrepresentations are entirely my own doing.

Transition councils workshop launched

In July 2008 Somerset County Council passed the UK’s first motion calling Somerset a Transition Local authority, but what does this mean?

Our Transition Councils ½ day workshop is an answer to this question. Transition Network is holding its first workshop specifically aimed at Local authority officers and members in London June 23rd.

There will be two sessions, 9.30-12.30 and 2-5.
