Reaching out for Resilience: Inclusion in Transition
By Catrina Pickering 20th December 2010
Danielle Cohen from Transition Town Stoke Newington has recently completed a Masters dissertation on inclusion in Transition. Here’s a short 3 minute interview with her from the Transition Scotland conference in November.
If that wets your appetite, you can then go on to download the dissertation which argues that Transition needs to take an integrated head, heart and hands approach in working on inclusion. Head, heart and hands approaches can each have potential limitations but these can be tempered if used in balance with the other two approaches. In her conclusion, she suggests that rather than seeking to include, perhaps we should also be seeking to be included by others.
