Crowd funding

'In Transition 2.0' research and filming is underway. We absolutely refuse to fly anywhere to film any stories but want it to be a global film that reflects how Transition is popping up in different countries in their own unique way.

So we're asking filmmakers around the world to help us out. But we don't have the budget to pay them!

We need your contribution to ensure this film shows the amazing stories we're found in Brazil, USA, Canada, Portugal, Japan and New Zealand.

Your money will mean we can pay people like Marcos Diógenes who lives in a favela (shanty town) in Brazil. And a film company in New Zealand whose office fell down in the earthquakes. And a Tokyo film maker who's living with the fear of radioactive contamination. And a filmmaker in US filming Transition in a neighbourhood beset by gangs and drugs. Paying them for their skills and time will ultimately put money back into their vulnerable neighbourhoods.

We need £15,000 to top up the £23,700 that Transition Network have already pledged.

If you're thinking that's a lot of money! Why isn't £23,700 enough? Can't you just give them some of your wages? Everybody here is already working for half their charity rate. Just to make that real for you Beccy Strong on camera, who's a single Mum and working 2 and 1/2 days a week, is living below the poverty line.

So what do you get, apart from a much more diverse film? You get to see your name in the credits! Anyone who contributes will get a 'With thanks to' credit at the end of the film.

Telling stories that heal our deepest wounds is my life's purpose. It's how I fit into Transition. Please value our culture's storytellers by making a donation that ensures we can continue raising consciousness and influencing others to believe change is not only possible but absolutely essential.
