The Story of Alandya Dongar
Description
This amateur documentary is about profiling the environmental damage at a place called Nashik in India. There is a real danger of societal collapse if one goes by the various collapses which have happened in the past around the world. A few collapses have been sited in the film to create awareness for the general public and hopefully the government machinery. Similar situations are brewing around the world but people seem to be unaware of it. We need to learn from the past and take corrective action before it is too late.
The primary factor are the forestry policies of the Indian government which they have continued from the time of the British Raj. The only solution seems to be self government and local ownership of these areas.
