Paper: Can popular movements celebrate diversity?

Description

From the author, Amanda Blewett

"I'm currently a student at Deakin University in Melbourne and recently wrote a paper for a community development course which covered both TT and the Slow Movements (both Food and Cities).

Up until April this year I lived in Ethiopia for nearly six years (I'm from NZ originally).

I believe we have a lot to learn from those who have been less 'privileged' than ourselves. A great majority of the 80 million people are already living in resilient localised communities independent of oil. Perhaps with some global solidarity we may be able to address the effects of climate change together."

 Here's the paper.
