Project Aim
Growing People is a horticultural social enterprise based at Wolverton Urb Farm.
Our aims are:
- To provide good quality, local food to the community of Milton Keynes.
- To educate people, especially the young, about sustainable practices in food and farming.
- To help to create a more rich and resilient community for people to live in.
Further details
Growing People is a horticultural social enterprise based at Wolverton Urb farm, a 2.5 acre site which we have turned into a market garden. We grow produce for some local restaurants and our box scheme as well as selling to local residents at the local farmers market. We have a small flower nursery and an apiary.
We provide placements for a small number of young people who have struggled to access training or education elsewhere as well as hosting visits and work days for a wide variety of school and community groups.
