'Funding Transition'; Ethical Solar

Aims:

The aim of this project is not only to promote solar energy in the community but also to demonstrate that business can help fund the work that transition towns are doing. At Ethical Solar we aim to build a partnership with transition towns. We offer a reward to Transition Groups of £100 for every customer the successfully recommend Ethical Solar as a solar installation company. We also actively encourage our customers who are also generating installation for us by recommending us to their friends and neighbours to make a £100 donation to local transition groups as a reward for generating us those customers. We also offer transition members a discount on their own solar installations.

We believe it is possible, and fundamentally important for business to actively support the growth of Local transition and for business to follow transition principles.

At Ethical Solar we aim to lead by example in in doing this. The 'Ethical Solar Funding Transition' project will provide a special £100 donation on behalf of each transition group member who installs with Ethical Solar. In addition, we will offer a further £100 reward to any member of a local transition group who recommends us as an installation company to a friend or neighbour who goes on to have an installation with Ethical Solar.

Who are we?

As a company Ethical Solar is working really hard to do things the right way. We are very proud to be installing some of the most sustainable solar systems available on the UK market. We have dedicated a lot of time to researching solar systems that are produced using sustainable energy, are not coming from the other side of the Earth to reach us and have identified some that are even recycled. We are also the UK distributor for recycled solar panels, run courses and workshops on making your own panels, use low impact methods throughout the business, run all our vans on waste vegetable oil and we have someone from the long term unemployed on every install team.

The recycled solar panels that we install are cleverly recycled from the waste of the industry, restoring otherwise discarded solar cells to their maximum capacity. This not only makes our solar systems environmentally friendly but cost effective and high performing as well. If you already have preferred solar installers already or are in an area where we don't operate we are very happy offer discounted kits and panels to buying or Transition groups.
