Project Aim

The Bucky Box project delivers the latest web technology to address issues with the food system.

The first part of the project is a social enterprise built around web-software which serves to support vege box schemes by automating all the admin around subsciptions, billing & delivery logistics - with the click of a button.

By supporting box schemes to be easier to run & more efficient, we can reduce dependency on a centralised food system, and increase demand for organic, local grown produce, and help shift the food system to a better, more Transition Towns-type system.

Further details

Our project focuses on two strands:

  1. Development of a great App to support box schemes
  2. Research and community engagement to identify how else we can make positive change in the food system

We hope to be launching in August 2011 with various partners and resources which are useful to the sector.  Please contact us for more information!

The Bucky Box team are excited to be bringing the latest developments of the web, to the community sector.  The project is backed by the enspiral collective in New Zealand, which is a group of professional designers & developers working together on positive impact projects.

Check out our website or blog for more information as the project evolves!
