Transition activities
About Rachel Savage
I am 40 year old writer and journalist. I live in Dursley with my husband and two sons. After spending a large chunk of my working life writing about worthy causes and/or the environment I decided to put my money where my pen is and get stuck in properly. So I looked into joining a local Transition initiative. There wasn’t one. So I read Rob Hopkins’ The Transition Handbook from cover-to-cover to find out how to start one. I was inspired and so I started Transition Dursley.
It’s been quite a leap from having the idea knocking around in my head to getting it rolling in my local community. And the trials and tribulations of what comes next is the subject of my column in Bristol’s The Spark magazine and here on the Transition Social Reporters Blog.
