Hello to all!

I'm a 39 year-old biologist residing in the town of Paredes, in Northern Portugal. Since graduating from University, I've been working independently as a field biologist, writer and photographer, videographer and also as a book translator.

I've also done post-graduate studies in the field of Recreation Biology. 

I've been involved with Portuguese environmental groups for almost 20 years and have been writing for the local and national print media on environmental issues for pretty much the same time. 

More recently I've been very keen in learning as much as possible about permaculture, got my first vegetables last year (yes, I'm a novice, but an eager to learn one) and this year is promising good results.

Had my "End of Suburbia Moment" a few months ago and decided that it was about time to do something about it, so here we are: Paredes em Transição!
