I have an electrical trade background and have also been involved in commerical real estate. I am currently studying for  a BSc in Sustainable Energy Management witha focus on urban planning.

I first became aware of peak oil in 2005 and bagan absorbing the implications over the next few years. It was through my rel estate career that I saw the big implications and that our suburban towns are in no way prepared to operate with expensive oil or with oil shortages. I became increasingly concerned about peak oil and the 2008 price spike and the global finaical crisis that followed prompted me to change direction in life. Thats when I found Transition.

Transition for me is a lifeline to a future that is hopeful. Even though energy descent may be difficult it doesn't have to be crushing.
