Douglas Smith

I am the chair of the Ely's Growing Together project in Cardiff, which hopes to convert four and a half acres of disused allotment land into a community garden. I am a bit of a born again enviromentalist, having spent most of my life in aircraft engineering. After six months as chair I decided I knew nothing about the subject and signed on for a two year enviromental management course at Pencoed in Bridgend. After finishing the first year I have learned so much I don't know if I can squeeze in another years knowledge.
