Derek Smith

I have just (May 2011) passed my 64th birthday and am a retired professional engineer.  I helped found Transition Ashtead in Surrey.  I moved to Redhill in 2010 and am now the chair of the proposed Transition Redhill.  I am setting up a home energy project as one of Transition Redhill's first projects and hope to gather a team of volunteer home energy auditors to serve the Reigate and Banstead bourogh.  Training and admin of this auditing scheme is provded by Action Surrey based in Woking.  I will also be part of the communications project but we have not had our first meeting yet.
