After returning from Findhorn, Scotland in May or 2011 and experiencing the Findhorn Community and EcoVillage http://www.findhorn.org , I began studying the Peak Oil question with action and activities in mind. I have developed a plan to manage a Transition Center called EcoVillages of Cape Cod. We will offer training, facilitation, and support for new initiatives by citizens on Cape Cod. We will be using the work of Rob Hopkins http://www.transitionculture.org and Richard Heinberg http://www.futurescenarios.org as a platform for knowledge, concepts, and strategies.

The Center will be in Yarmouthport and will open mid-October this fall at  411 Main St., Yarmouthport. Reading materials and book loan/sales and video viewing will be available. We will be open daily and weekends by appointment. Training is not available immediately, but small group meetings and public talks will begin in early November.
