 Following qualifying as a Chartered Accountant I spent the next 30 years as a Finance Director in various manufacturing industries;these were mainly involved in the Automotive and Textile sectors.The Automotive companies were a very early driver in 'greening their supply chain' and I was heavily involved in designing and obtaining accreditation to ISO14001 for the environmental management system for three successive companies.

After leaving manufacturing I was Finance and Operations Director for a Groundwork Trust and here was involved with a far wider range of  environmental and social projects.

I am now retired and work on a voluntary basis with community organisations
