The Transition Whitehorse steering committee has been meeting since October 2010. The Whitehorse City Council sponsored four Sustainability Ambassador Programs involving about 100 volunteers and encouraged the development of Sustainability Streets. Representatives of these groups are now actively involved in developing Transition Whitehorse.
