About
We began as a group studying the Transition Handbook a little over a year ago. By summer of 2010, we were ready to start engaging our community. Nov 2010 - Held meeting of representatives of groups on island already working on sustainability and local economy issues. Planned and commenced awareness raising film series; received $500 grant from Sustainable Vashon to cover costs. Got major promo article in local paper and have bimonthly column in local alternative paper. Became 81st official transition initiative in Us on Feb 25, 2011.
For foreseeable future, will continue with present projects.
