About
Transition Town Helensburgh was initiated in February 2010 with a film night showing 'In Transition: from peak oil to local resilience. TTH now has 76 members (many of which are families) located in Helensburgh, Rhu, Garelochhead, and the penisula (namely Cove, Rosneath, and Kilcreggan).
TTH has organised film nights, hosted stalls at events to raise awareness of climate change, peak oil and local resilience, run 2 'grow-your-own' workshops, and organised a talk by ALIenergy on renewable energy.
TTH is looking to develop a community garden in Helensburgh or Rhu, and is involved in the potential Helensburgh wind farm....
