Transition Initiative Heaton is made up of people who live in and near Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne, and who are concerned about Climate Change and Peak Oil.  These two issues will affect every part of our lives, from what we eat to how we travel and more, and the members of this group believe that the best way to face these challenges is to build resilience into our local communities.  So you will find people here who are interested in every face of sustainable living; growing food, knitting, alternative healthcare, beekeeping, and much more
