About

Our regional hub covers communities in a largely rural upstate NY county. We are  communities that range from the state capitol city to rural towns without village centers, to small agricultural villages. We are surrounded by rich farmland, bounded by the Hudson and Battenkill rivers.

12 local residents completed Training for Transition in March. 32 regional registrants attend the training.

In our area have many projects underway that fit the Transition goals but we have had no cohesive sense of connection and collaboration. As of April 2011 our mulling group has started projects in: community gardening, living machines, credit unions, open space gatherings and community pot lucks.
