About

Transition Towns Albury Wodonga is the name adopted by an unincorporated collection of sustaianbility groups formerly known as the Albury Wodonga Sustainability Alliance. These groups include Wodonga-Albury Toward Climate Health (WATCH), Pedal Power, Seedsavers Network, Steiner Playgroup, Border Eco Living Program (BELP), Gateway Community Health and  project called StreetHarvest. Our two local councils have been very supportive but we hope to engage with them much more as go along.

As at this writing (March 2010), The major project of the inititaive is the Sustainable Living Film Festival which has been made possible by a small grant from AlburyCity. Screening between February and May, the films include The Age of Stupid, End of Suburbia, Dirt! The Movie, The Story of Stuff, Saved by the Sun and In Transition 1.0. We have built a number of other transitiony type actvities around these film screenings and hope that this will lead to a great unleashing some time this year.
