The Capital District Transition Network seeks to build a network of existing and new groups from Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady, and Saratoga Counties to encourage community resilience and long-term sustainability to meet the challenges of Peak Oil and Climate Change. The Capital District already has many groups like CSA farms, bicycle advocacy groups, community gardens, etc., that are working on important pieces of the puzzle. However, they tend to work in isolation from other groups outside their areas of immediate concern. The purpose of this Transition Network is to encourage collaboration amongst these groups within the overarching vision of Transition.
