About

Transition Adelaide West was formed in 2009 to bring relocalisation in all forms to the western coastal region of Adelaide. From the Torrens in the south to the Port river in the north at this region shares a microclimate particular to it's location on the edge of the Adelaide Plains.

We'd like to acknowledge that our community is on the land of the Kaurna people who looked after this land for thousands of years and we thank them for doing that.

We have a committed and diverse steering group with many ideas and have many plans for the next months.

Already in the last 6 months we have seen the opening of a local organic market, commencement of the Henley and Grange fruit and veg swap held weekly, have had 2 highly popular screenings of "Fresh! - the movie" a food related movie firstly at the local Semaphore Odeon, and recently at Henley Square. We have plans for many more. A permablitz group is also started and the first "backyard blitzing" will be on Sunday 29th March.

We are looking for help to set up a website (wordpress blog or similar) please use the contact button if you can help.

What you can do now though is to register (see above right) and you can link to our group and  keep updated as we put information up on how you can get involved, and discover the hidden mysteries of this web interface as it unfolds!
