UK Localism Act - have your say
29 December 2011 - 7:48pm
You will be aware of the Localism Bill, as embodied in the Act of 2011, but a consultation is ending on the Planning Regulations by which it will be put into effect. The closing date for responses is Thursday 5th January 2012:
- Planning Regulations Consultation - The questionnaire has 3 main questions plus an open-ended one for any further comments.
The Draft Regulations are in Annex A of the first document linked on that page.
Best wishes for 2012!

There is an index of further guidance in the Community Planning site.
"This legislation is vital to the delivery of the government’s Big Society agenda ..." [emphasis in the original text]
"The Act’s key proposals will alter the policy landscape of community planning by introducing Neighbourhood Plans as a new tier in the statutory planning system and providing a series of mechanisms to enable communities to implement their plans, together with a requirement on developers to consult communities before submitting their applications for planning permission."

Dear all,
With communities now choosing to produce a Neighbourhood Plan, has anyone any suggestions or experience of how Transition groups can inform them?
(Our group is due to give a presentation to our local Neighbourhood Plan Group)
Thanks
Robin
