Hello there all good transition people!

I am out traveling the world. Currently visiting a non profit in St Vincent, Caribbean and volunteering for a while. They are starting some very interesting climate change work here - that i thought you might find encouraging :) It is a kind of a transition town project - involving the entire island of St Vincent. And they are inviting international people to participate! Below is a little text about it. Hope you enjoy it :)

All the best

Tomas

This  is to tell you about a new and (in our opinion) very existing opportunity.

  • It is a CLIMATE ACTIVIST program in the Caribbean

  • It aims to work with the 120,000 people of St Vincent to prepare for climate change

  • We will work with food security, alternative energy solutions, disaster preparedness, and off course – education, education and education.

  • It is STUDY, RESEARCH and a VOLUNTEER program. Meaning – you will learn about the science, the opinions, the practical solutions in regards to climate change. And the best part – you will get out of the classroom and use that knowledge – making a difference – for a one, many or maybe all people in St Vincent.

  • All this – you do together with others. We believe humans are social beings and that we best achieve what we want, when working together. So, as Climate Activist you will be part of an International team with people from several countries, and off course from St Vincent.

  • And more... this is a 6 MONTH PROGRAM!

We call it the Climate Compliance Conference. A practical conference that we plan will take 10 years. Some of us also like to call it the Gaia program, inspired by the Gaia theory developed by James Lovelock and other scientists.
