The training is based on the 2-days LAUNCH course, as developed by the Transition Training pool in Totnes in 2007 and as it is now run all over the world. The training welcomes diversity of backgrounds and opinions, weaves together theory and practice, information and experience of the inner and outer transitions. The training is very interactive.
This course offers the opportunity to do this training as a part time option.
COURSE DATES:
Tuesday evenings 7.00-9.30pm
17 April 2012 - Introductions and the Context of peak oil and climate change
24 April 2012 -The Principles, ingredients and vision of transition,
1 May 2012 – Awareness raising and setting up an initiating group
8 May 2012– The inner world of transition and the psychology of change
15 May 2012 –Inner work, how to run Open space meetings.
22 May 2012 – Later stages of transition and taking it into the world.
The course is for those who are:
· Starting a transition initiative
· Involved in a TI and working on the next steps
· Wanting to pick up useful tips and skills
· Would like to meet like minded people in the area
· Looking for way to express your personal response to our environmental and cultural crisis.
COSTS: £80 (concessions and stepped payments may be available on application) A place is booked on receipt of a £40 deposit.

ABOUT THE LOCATION: The Apricot centre is a small eco-venue just outside of Manningtree in an attractive 4-acre organic fruit garden. Our focus is upon providing courses on the general theme of Sustainable Living. The Apricot Centre is part of The Land Project and is a demonstration farm for permaculture methods. We are close to the mainline train station London-Norwich
ABOUT THE TUTOR: The trainings will be run by Marina O’Connell; BSc, MEnv. Permaculture diploma and part of the national transition trainer pool. Marina is an organic grower, trainer and lecturer in Horticulture & Sustainability and director of the Apricot centre. www.apricotcentre.co.uk
