Bookings are now being taken for the CCN Annual Conference 2011. We are at a new venue this year -  the Discovery Centre, Green Estate, Sheffield. The conference will be on the Saturday, with an optional chance to come on Friday night to socialise and have a meal in Sheffield.

As always, the most important part will be networking and being inspired by talking to people doing the sort of project you are planning. Most of the sessions will be interactive, designed to get your feedback and input to topics.

We've tried to keep costs as low as possible, so the fee for this years conference will be £30 inc. a vegetarian lunch and refreshments. You can download the programme, booking forms and pay online at our website - http://www.communitycompost.org Please send any enquiries to conference@communitycompost.org

What is the Community Composting Network?
CCN is the UK-wide organisation that supports and promotes community groups, social enterprises and individuals involved in producing compost and using it in their local communities. The community composting sector is very diverse; projects range in scale from individuals or small groups working on allotment sites or promoting home composting, to social enterprises with Local Authority contracts providing kerbside collection services.

The common theme is that the local community is involved in the management of the organic waste they are producing and are not-for-profit and locally accountable organisations. This is a great opportunity to find out more and get involved if you are new to Community Composting
