Living Roofs – an introductory course

November 17 – 19, 2010

This 2-day comprehensive course looks at both the theory and practice behind specifying and creating your own living roof. These attractive and practical structures can play an important role in meeting the challenges of climate change mitigation, resource depletion and habitat loss.

 

Day 1: Participants will develop an in-depth understanding of the design and construction of these structures and how they relate to planning for the future, as well as about the selection and purchase of suitable plants and substrates.

Day 2: Working with expert guidance, participants will gain essential practical experience of the methods and techniques needed to construct successful living roofs of their own.
