Setting the date on blog posts

This is for website editors who need to set the date of their item. It is of particular interest to the Social Reporters' editor of the week who needs to work on items before the publication date, then set the publication date so that the item appears correctly on the Social Reporters homepage.

1. Edit the item you are working on

Nearly at the very bottom, click on the 'Authoring Information' arrow. This will open up to show you the item's 'author' and the item's 'Authored on' date.

Set the date by editing the number of the day (e.g. swap '2013-02-13' for '2013-02-12' if you want it to have been published the day before).

Don't forget to click on 'Do not send notifications for this update'!
