Project sharing engine funding bid
We are applying to the Nominet Trust for some funding to build our 'Projects Sharing Engine'.
Like the News Sharing Engine (which was for news distribution), its intention is to distribute the movement's project information to Initiatives' websites, enabling webmasters to easily embed all the functionality of our projects directory into their own sites.
Including enabling anyone to add a project to the directory via their own site - in effect making the Transition Network website into a 'service' for their websites rather than a 'portal' that people have to come to. This approach has been at the core of our plans for years and it's very exciting to think we're close to it now.
As well as building a piece of software, we're aiming to develop the Transition Technologist group through this process as well, another long held ambition.
It's an ambitious application and social development model, and the benefits are plenty, so fingers crossed, all, and if you're at all interested, you can download our application below.
Thank you to Dan Tagg for suggesting Nominet to me that day in Hamilton House. Good work mate!

Having the face to face meeting is hard to replace electronically. It was so good just to meet people and have a chat. At the same time we acknowledged the need to be able to share info virtually so we can be in touch easily (time and distance).
And... Purtilizer, OMB. Those cats. You know, Molly turned up on our doorstep, not obviously pregnant. And, not long after had her six kittens on the bed in between Lings legs (sleeping dreaming of babies). It was incredible seeing their six different personalities developing...
